Police crack down on Drug Trafficking: Three arrested, Large quantities of contraband seized in Srinagar, Sopore

Srinagar, Jan 05(NVI):In a significant step towards combating the drug menace, police teams in Jammu and Kashmir have apprehended three individuals in two separate operations in Srinagar and Sopore. Substantial quantities of contraband substances have been recovered, along with the seizure of a vehicle used in the crime.

In Srinagar, two individuals from Delhi, identified as Love Kumar and Vipin Kumar, were caught at a checkpoint near Tengpora Flood Channel. The police not only recovered a considerable quantity of contraband during the initial search but also unearthed more upon further investigation.

In a separate operation in Sopore, a vehicle driven by Muneeb Jabar Dar, a resident of Muqam Shaheedmir Bomai, was intercepted at Laiser Crossing. The search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 1.028 kilograms of a substance resembling charas.

All three accused have been arrested, and cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered at their respective police stations. Authorities have urged the public to report any drug-related activities, assuring strict action against offenders.
