Poonch, Apr 7 (,NVI): A constable of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was dies in an accidental firing incident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch sector on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Constable (GD) Abdul Gani of 38 Battalion, a resident of Chak Dayala in Samba district.
According to officials, preliminary reports suggest that the incident occurred due to an accidental discharge of a weapon. However, the exact circumstances leading to the firing are yet to be ascertained.
They said cognisance of the matter has been taken and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident.(NVI)
