Srinagar, Apr 07 (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed to have busted an interstate module of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror outfit by arresting five individuals, including two Pakistani terrorists, in Srinagar.
Official sources said the operation is part of a larger anti-terror crackdown and J&K Police is expanding its scope beyond the Union Territory and carrying out operations in Punjab with assistance from central agencies.
The action was based on intelligence inputs and digital intercepts suggesting the presence of a Lashkar network outside J&K. Investigations are underway to ascertain possible links with local networks.
Officials said further details will be shared after completion of the ongoing operation. (NVI)
