Jammu, Sep 07 (NVI): Launching a scathing attack on the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah, Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said Rahul and Omar must explain to him how can they bring back Statehood to J&K.

“I fail to understand what kind of politics these people are playing. They are telling people that they will bring back Statehood to J&K, I want to ask them how?,” Shah thundered from the stage in Jammu while addressing a jam-packed rally of BJP workers as he kick-started the BJP’s poll campaign in Jammu.

Shah said Statehood can be restored by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led government at the Centre. “When I have already stated on the floor of the house that Statehood will be restored to J&K after Assembly polls at an appropriate time, how can Rahul and Omar befool people on the same? It is we who have to restore the Statehood not Rahul and Omar,” he said.

About possibility of talks with Pakistan, he said there can be no talks with Pakistan till J&K witnesses permanent peace and stability. “Similarly, PDP advocates trade with Pakistan. The money earned through Cross LoC trade will directly go back into the coffers of terror mentors, so no question of trade,” he said.

Shah raised slogan: “Jahan Huway Balidan Mukherji, Woh Kashmir Hamara Hai.” He said Kashmir is place for which late Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherji has laid his life. “His mission was One Flag, One Constitution and One Leader. Today, that dream stands fulfilled,” he said. Shah’s slogan was counter to NC and PDP’s slogan: “Jis Kashmir ko Khoon Say seencha, woh Kashmir Hamara hai.”

On the reservation granted to Gujjars, Bakerwals, and Valmikis in J&K, the Home Minister said NC manifesto talks about reviewing the same. “No power can touch these reservations. We will never allow situation to go back to what it was,” he said.

Continuing his tirade against NC, Shah said gone are the days when people were befooled on the slogans of Autonomy. “Nobody can raise this slogan in Kashmir now,” he said, adding that “it was because of this slogan, 40,000 people were killed.” He said NC and PDP agenda advocates revival of terrorism in J&K once again. “I urge you all to give befitting reply to these parties by coming out in large numbers and vote against them,” he said.

Shah said people of J&K must read a “writing on the wall” that NC and Congress can never form government in J&K. He reiterated the major points of BJP’s Sankalp Patra stating that BJP is committed to give 5 lakh jobs to youth, Rs 18000 per annum to elderly women and two free gas cylinders to women.   (News Vibes of India)
