Quetta (Balochistan), May 13 (NVI) The recent killing of 8 Punjabi workers in Sistan-Baluchistan in Iran was orchestrated by Pakistan’s “illegal and criminal” intelligence agency ISI, the Chief of Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) Dr Allah Nazar Baloch has said in a rare video message.
He said these murders were carried out to tarnish the image of the Baloch national liberation movement even though Baloch fighters do not target ordinary Punjabis.
“We have captured their officers at the Colonel level… The evidence is clear. They (Army personnel) were ordered to kill their own people and blame the Baloch,” Allah Nazar said about the murders in Meharistan in Sistan-Baluchistan region in Iran.
The guerilla leader who has been leading a militant campaign for independence of Balochistan from Pakistan said, “Over the past two to three decades of our struggle, we have never targeted ordinary Punjabis… Our history, traditions, moral values, and our centuries-old struggle for national liberation do not permit us to harm innocent workers.”
BLF is one of the prominent militant groups who are fighting for liberation of Balochistan which is under illegal occupation of Pakistan since 1948.
“Our struggle has always been based on clear moral values,” Allah Nazar said.
He said ISI is targeting Baloch refugees not only in Iran and Afghanistan but also across Europe.
“We are the oppressed. We are the victims of ongoing injustice (perpetrated by the Pakistani State). And we have evidence — whether in Balochistan, Afghanistan, or Iran,” he said.
“We call on the international community to recognize and respond to Pakistan’s criminal actions—wherever Baloch refugees are being harmed. As everyone knows, the ISI is an illegal and criminal organization. We urge the United Nations to impose sanctions against it,” he said.
Dr. Allah Nazar also rejected Punjab’s repeated claims that the Baloch freedom movement is supported by India and Iran.
“Punjab (of Pakistan) repeatedly claims that India, Iran, and Afghanistan are aiding us — if only that were true,” the BLF chief commander said.
At the same time, he indicated that he expects support from these nations.
“As our neighboring countries, they have a moral obligation to support our cause. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: it is the ethical responsibility of Iran, Afghanistan, and India to stand with the Baloch nation,” he said.
He appealed to the broader international community — from the Middle East to the European Union, the United States, and all democratic nations — to recognize the illegitimacy of the Pakistani state and take action against its propaganda campaigns.
Addressing the Baloch youth directly, Dr. Allah Nazar urged them to rise to the challenge: “To all Baloch freedom-loving comrades, to every oppressed Baloch, and especially to the youth— I say this: each generation is stronger, more aware, and more educated than the last. I urge you—yes, pursue education—but also play an active role in the struggle for freedom. Take up arms and stand firm against this illegitimate state.” (NVI)
