Srinagar: Continuing the successful trend in anti-terror operations, security forces in Kashmir eliminated 4 Pakistan-supported terrorists, including the killers of TV artist Amreen Bhat, in 2 separate encounters.
With these killings, the security forces have gunned down 10 terrorists, including 6 Pakistanis, in Kashmir in the last 3 days.
One encounter took place in Aganhanzipora area of Awantipora in South Kashmir, where the security forces, following specific intelligence inputs, trapped two terrorists after encircling them.
Both the local terrorists were killed in the encounter early this morning.
They had recently joined Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit, police said.

“They had #killed TV artist (Amreen Bhat) on the instruction of LeT Cmdr Lateef. 01 AK 56 rifle, 4 magazines and a pistol recovered,” Kashmir police tweeted, quoting IGP Kashmir.
Two days back, on Wednesday evening, 2 terrorists gunned down Amreen Bhat and shot at her 11-year-old nephew outside her residence in Chadoora area of Budgam district.
35-year-old Amreen was TV artist who would also post videos on social media.
“Heinous #murder case of late Ambreen bhat solved in 24 hours,” Kashmir police tweeted quoting IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar.
Another encounter took place overnight in Soura area of Srinagar after security forces launched a cordon and search operation following an input about “movement of terrorists from South Kashmir to Srinagar.”
Two terrorists were killed in this encounter and both belonged to LeT outfit.
“#Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition recovered,” the police tweeted.
In a separate tweet, the police pointed out that 10 terrorists, including 3 from JeM & 7 from LeT terror outfits, had been killed in 3 days in Kashmir valley.
Three freshly-infiltrated Pakistani terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit were killed yesterday in an encounter in Jamagund area of Kupwara district, close to the Line of Control (LoC).
Three Pakistani terrorists were killed on Wednesday in an encounter in Baramulla district.
