Seven injured, 3 critically, in Sopore grenade attack by terrorists

Srinagar (NVI): On the eve of a scheduled visit of the European Union Parliamentary delegation to Jammu and Kashmir. terrorists launched a major grenade attack in Sopore in Baramulla district of the state injuring seven out of which three are stated to be critical.

According to a statement by CRPF, the grenade blast took place near Hotel Plaza at 1615 hrs. Security forces have reached the spot and cordoned off the area, further details are awaited.

Meanwhile, one civilian was killed when terrorists fired at him in Anantnag. The police has cordoned off the area and has launched search to nab the terrorists, the police said.

On October 24, terrorists shot dead two truck drivers and injured another in Shopian district.

Similarly, on October 16, a fruit loader from Punjab killed  while on 14 terrorists killed a truck driver from Rajasthan also from Shopian.
