New Delhi (NVI): Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa today interacted with the Indian Air Force contingent visiting the island nation to participate in the 70th anniversary celebrations of Sri Lanka Air Force.
President Rajapaksa was also presented with a memento by the IAF team leader, on the occasion.
The three-day SLAF celebrations concluded today with a fly-past by IAF fighter jets. IAF’s Suryakiran, Sarang and Light Combat Aircraft Tejas had arrived in Colombo to take part in celebrations on February 27.
IAF Chief Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria had arrived in Colombo on a two-day visit on Wednesday to attend the SLAF celebrations.
The IAF jets participated in the Air Show at Galle Face, Colombo, on an invitation from Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, Commander of the SLAF.
