SRINAGAR, Mar 25 (NVI): Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday led a plantation drive at the party headquarters in Srinagar, along with senior leaders of the People’s Democratic Party.
Several saplings were planted within the premises as part of an initiative aimed at promoting environmental conservation and raising awareness about the importance of protecting nature.
Leaders present on the occasion stressed the need for collective efforts to preserve the environment and enhance green cover in the region.
Speaking at the event, Mufti said that environmental protection is a shared responsibility and urged people, especially the youth, to participate in plantation drives and adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
Senior PDP functionaries who participated in the drive also highlighted the importance of such initiatives in spreading awareness about environmental challenges and encouraging community participation in safeguarding natural surroundings.(NVI)
