New Delhi (NVI): The total number of coronavirus cases in India has crossed the 64 lakh-mark today and reached 64,73,545, with another huge surge of 79,476 positive cases in the last 24 hours, according to Union Health Ministry data.

The country’s death toll has gone up to 1,00,842 after 1,069 new fatalities were reported in the country during this period.

In terms of total number of cases, Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state with 14,16,513 coronavirus cases followed by Andhra Pradesh with 7,06,790 cases, Tamil Nadu with 6,08,885 positive cases.
