Srinagar, Aug 27 (NVI): The Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday ordered a major reshuffle in the police establishment, transferring and posting 14 officers, including 11 IPS and three JKPS officers.
According to an order issued by the Home Department, M K Sinha, an IPS officer of the 1996 AGMUT cadre, has been transferred from the post of Additional Director General (Headquarters) and posted as ADG, CID, J&K, replacing Nitish Kumar.
Nitish Kumar, an IPS officer of the 1999 AGMUT cadre, has been posted as ADG, Armed Police, J&K, against an available vacancy.
Uttam Chand, IPS (2002), IGP Police Operations and Services at Police Headquarters, has been transferred and posted as IGP Railways, J&K, replacing Vivek Gupta. He will continue to hold the additional charge of IGP Police Operations and Services at PHQ until further orders.
Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS (2004), has been transferred from IGP Jammu Zone and posted as IGP Headquarters, J&K, against an available vacancy.
Sujit Kumar, IPS (2007), has been appointed as IGP Kashmir Zone. He was serving as IGP Security, J&K.
Vivek Gupta, IPS (2007), has been posted as IGP Security, replacing Sujit Kumar, while Tejinder Singh, IPS (2008), has been transferred from IGP CID and posted as IGP Jammu Zone, replacing Bhim Sen Tuti.
Shakti Kumar Pathak, IPS (2009), has been designated as Director, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).
Mubassir Latifi Ameer, IPS (2011), DIG Personnel at PHQ, has been transferred and posted as DIG IR Kashmir. He was also holding the additional charge of DIG Training.
At the district level, Sahil Sarangal, IPS (2017), has been transferred from SSP Handwara and posted as SSP Pulwama.
Sunny Gupta, IPS (2020), who was serving as Additional SP Anantnag, has been appointed SSP Kishtwar, replacing Naresh Singh.
Among JKPS officers, Tahir Saleem Khan, JKPS (2001), has been transferred from his post as SO to IGP Kashmir Zone and posted as SSP Handwara, replacing Sahil Sarangal.
Muzaffar Ahmad Shah, JKPS (2004), SSP SCW Kashmir, has been posted as SO to IGP Kashmir Zone, replacing Tahir Saleem Khan.
Naresh Singh, JKPS (2004), SSP Kishtwar, has been transferred and posted as SSP Rajouri against an available vacancy.(NVI)
