Srinagar, Aug 28 (NVI): Senior IPS officer Sujit Kumar on Thursday assumed charge as the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir Zone, succeeding Vidhi Kumar Birdi, officials said.
Kumar, who was serving as IGP Security, Jammu and Kashmir, brings extensive administrative and operational experience to the new assignment.
He has previously served in all three ranges of the Kashmir Zone, including as the head of the Central Kashmir Range, officials said.(NVI)
