Jammu, Oct 05 (NVI) : A suspected explosive was found on Ring Road in the Gharota area of Akhnoor in Jammu district on Saturday late evening.
An official told NVI that the traffic was halted as the Bomb Disposal Squad(BDS) was called to the scene.
He said that the explosive, weighing around 1.7 kg, is suspected to be an improvised explosive device (IED) believed to be a timer IED stored in a container.
“We are investigating the incident, which may be linked to a potential terror strike,” he said.—(News Vibes Of India)
