Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir): A terrorist was killed today in an encounter with security forces in Rajouri, the border district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The encounter in the forest area of Budhal started when the security forces launched a hunt after receiving intelligence input about presence of terrorists there, officials said.
As soon as the security forces cordoned off the suspected area, the terrorists started firing, the officials said.
The forces retaliated and in the initial gunfight, one terrorist was killed, they said.
