Terrorists gun down Kashmiri Pandit in Valley

Srinagar: In yet another targeted killing of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley, Pakistan-backed terrorists today gunned down a government employee of the community in his office.

Rahul Bhat was shot in his office at Chadoora in Budgam district, officials said, adding two terrorists were involved in the crime.

“#Terrorists fired upon one employee namely Shri Rahul Bhat from #minority community in Tehsildar office Chadoora, #Budgam. He has been shifted to hospital,” Kashmir Police tweeted soon after the incident.

“The #injured was immediately brought to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment where he #succumbed to his injuries,” said a subsequent tweet by the police.

Officials said terrorists pumped 4 bullets into Bhat.

“Preliminary investigation reveals that 02 #terrorists are #involved in this #heinous crime & have used pistol for commit for committing this crime,” the police added in the tweet.

In the recent months, terrorists have deliberately been targeting members of Kashmiri Pandit community along with non-Kashmiris in an attempt to create scare among them.
