New Delhi: Union Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal took a review of progress of work on Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (MITRA) Parks Scheme.
These parks will strengthen domestic textiles industry to realise PM Narendra Modi’s vision of a self-reliant India, an offical release quoted the minister as saying.
During the presentation of budget this year, it was announced to establish seven textile parks acoss the country.
Among other things, these parks would make textile industry globally competitive, attract large investments, boost employment generation, enure world class infrastructure with plug-and-play facilities and boost exports of textiles and related items.
