TTP claims killing of 15 Pakistani soldiers

Peshawar, Aug 13 (NVI) Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) tonight claimed to have killed at least 15 Pakistani soldiers and injured several others in an attack in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Giving details, TTP spokesman Muhammad Khorasani said a contingent of Pakistan Army tried to advance in the Patak area of Riyasat in Bajaur district with the intention of attacking TTP yesterday morning.

He said the TTP received information about it and despatched 6 Fidayeen of the SIF (Special Istishadi Force) equipped with modern weapons, who ambushed the advancing military convoy.

In this attack, 15 Pakistan Army personnel were killed and several were injured, he said.

Three army vehicles were also destroyed., he said.

After the attack, all the fidayeen men managed to escape safely, the spokesman said.

On Monday night at around 10 PM (Pakistan Time), TTP fighters attacked a military fort in the Kedi Shamuzi area of Parwa district of DE Khan province, he said.

The military fort was attacked with laser guns and Grenade Launchers, in which several personnel were reported to have been killed and injured, he said. (NVI)
