TTP continues to hurt Pakistani military every day under ‘Op Al Khandaq’

Peshawar, Mar 22 (NVI) Under its ‘Operation Al-Khandaq’, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has been targeting the Pakistani military and police in an extensive and sustained manner, killing and injuring several security personnel besides destroying their assets and installations on a daily basis.

In its latest statement, it gave details of the operations it carried out over the last two days in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab Provinces of Pakistan.

A police officer Hashim was killed in a targetted attack by the TTP in Nasr Khel village of  Laki Marwat district yesterday, it said, adding his gun was also taken by it.

Prior to that, the TTP cadres attacked Lakhani check post in Dera Ghazi Khan district of South Punjab Province during the intervening night of March 20 and 21, it said.

The operation continued for one and a half hours and there is a strong possibility that two officials were killed, said the TTP statement issued by its spokesman Muhammad Khorasani.

The Taliban also attacked a post of Pakistan Army in Banshahi area of Jindol district of Dir Lower on the evening of March 20, in which one officer was injured, he said.

Before that, the Taliban attacked the Hasukhel bridge post in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province using a sniper in which a number of security cameras and a booster were destroyed, he said.

The Taliban also carried out a sniper attack at the Epiground military post in the same area in which a number of security cameras were destroyed.

The TTP also killed one Nasrullah, who was wanted by the Taliban, in the Kaki area of the Bannu district, he said.

The spokesman also said that the Pakistani military and secret agencies, using artillery, targeted common innocent people, destroying their homes and mosques in the Sada area of Karam district. (NVI)
