Srinagar (NVI): Two J&K policemen were killed after terrorists attacked a police party in Barzulla area of Srinagar district today.
According to Kashmir Zone Police, the two cops initially got injured in the terror attack and were shifted to a hospital for treatment, where they succumbed to their injuries.
A CCTV footage of the incident showed a terrorist firing at policemen from a close range at a marketplace in Barzulla.
The deceased cops have been identified as SgCT Mohammad Yousuf of Zurhama area in Kupwara and Ct Suhail Ahmad of Logripora in Aishmuqam, Anantnag district.
“Both the injured #policemen namely SgCT Mohammad Yousuf of Zurhama Kupwara and Ct Suhail Ahmad of Logripora Aishmuqam attained #martyrdom. We pay our rich tributes to the #martyrs and standby their families at this crucial juncture,” Kashmir Zone police said in a tweet.

Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off and a search operation is underway.
With this, at least three policement have been martyred in J&K in the last 24 hours. Last night, a police personnel was killed while another was injured in Beerwah area of Budgam district.
Three unidentified terrorists were also killed in an encounter with the security forces in Badigam area of Shopian district in Kashmir.
