Oil tankers being rushed to Ladakh on the Srinagar-Leh highway to meet increased demand from the Indian troops deployed in the region. Extra forces have been deployed in the region after fresh skirmishes between the Indian and Chinese troops when the latter tried to change the status quo on the southern bank of Pangong Tso lake along LAC in eastern Ladakh over the last weekend. The move was thwarted by the IndianArmy.
