New Delhi (NVI): India has reported highest single-day spike with 3,86,452 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total tally to 1,87,62,976 in the country, Union Health Ministry said today.
The country has reported 3,498 deaths in the last 24 hours which took the total toll to 2,08,330 while 2,97,540 people have been recovered in the same period.
“India reports 3,86,452 new COVID19 cases, 3,498 deaths and 2,97,540 discharges in the last 24 hours. The total cases in the country reached 1,87,62,976, total recoveries at 1,53,84,418, deaths at 2,08,330 and total active cases have reached 31,70,228,” Union Health Ministry said in a daily bulletin.
According to the data available, total 15,22,45,179 vaccination doses have been administered to the people of India.
Meanwhile, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said that 28,63,92,086 samples tested up to April 29, 2021, for COVID-19. Of these 19,20,107 samples were tested yesterday.
