New Delhi (NVI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said that he has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and is self-isolating.

“I got tested for COVID-19 after showing some symptoms. The report is positive and I am in self-isolation and following all medical instructions. I am doing my work virtually,” CM Yogi said on Twitter in hindi.

He added, “All the functions of the state government are running normally.”

The UP CM had on Tuesday isolated himself as a “precautionary measure” after some officials at his office tested positive for Covid-19.

Uttar Pradesh recorded a single-day spike of 17,963 coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. 85 people died of the disease in the same period.
