Srinagar, Sep 24 (NVI): Two persons died in Reasi district today after a sumo vehicle on Poll duty skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Tukson, Jabara Morh in Mahore, Officials said.
They said a Sumo vehicle (duty bound) bearing registration number JK11 A3907 fell into a gorge 100 meters from the road at Tukson Jabara Morh in which two persons were on board including the driver.
“Both the persons on board died,” officials said, adding that they were identified as Constable Aijaz Khan of D-Coy 19th battalion and driver Javaid Ahmed son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Khour, Mahore.
Police have registered a case and investigations have been started to find out the cause of accident. The accident came a day ahead of the second phase of Assembly polls in J&K. (News Vibes of India)
