2 UK returnees test COVID-19 positive in Srinagar

Srinagar (NVI): After returning from the United Kingdom (UK), two Kashmiri residents were tested positive for new COVID-19 strain in Srinagar today.

They have been kept under quarantine at Rainawari hospital in Kashmir’s capital Srinagar.

Both these natives of Kashmir arrived in Valley from Britain and were tested positive at Srinagar Airport and were immediately shifted to Rainawari hospital.

Officer for coronavirus at hospital Dr Bilquees Shah informed that both have been kept under quarantine in the hospital. Shah added that one is a resident of Habak Srinagar and another Soura Srinagar.

Pertinently, a new strain of the novel coronavirus has engulfed England where government has imposed lockdown to curb this virus from spreading.
