COVID19: One more tested positive in Ladakh, toll 14

Kargil (NVI): One more person has been tested positive for coronavirus in Kargil after a gap of 13 days, taking the total number of cases to 14 in Ladakh.

Baseer Choudhary, District Magistrate Kargil in a tweet said, “1 more positive case in Kargil a lot more is required to be done for #BreakingTheChain. Appeal to the Kargilis.”

On March 18, three persons were tested positive in Ladakh UT. Since then no case was reported, till today.

Senior doctor at Government Hospital Kargil, Dr Vilayat Ali said in the Kargil district of Ladakh two persons were tested positive and this is the third case.

In the Leh district, 11 COVID19 patients have been tested positive.

However, Ladakh hasn’t witnessed any death due to this deadly disease till now, while Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed two deaths, besides 62 positive cases.
