New Delhi (NVI): Pakistan has now surpassed the 1 lakh mark in coronavirus cases after nearly 6,000 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the overall tally to 116,189 with at least 2,297 fatalities.
Looking at the breakdown of cases, Sindh province has reported 43,790 coronavirus cases, highest among all the provinces, while Punjab has 43,460 positive cases.
On the other hand, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 14,527 cases, Balochistan is at 7,031, Gilgit-Baltistan at 974, Islamabad at 5,963 and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is at 444 cases so far, according to Geo News.
Ministry of National Health Services stated that nearly 36,000 patients have fully recovered from the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the National Minorities Commission, Cheela Ram, has tested positive for COVID-19 today.
