MP Chief Minister tests COVID positive

New Delhi (NVI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

Taking to twitter, the chief minister wrote, in Hindi: “My dear countrymen, I was having COVID-19 symptoms and, after a test, my report came back positive.”

Chouhan also appealed to all colleagues and individuals “who has come in contact with me to get their coronavirus test done,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, the chief minister said he will be in self quarantine and getting his treatment done according to government guidelines.

In the last 24 hours, Madhya Pradesh reported 736 new coronavirus patients.

So far, the state has confirmed 26,210 COVID-19 cases while the death toll stands at 791.
