Quetta: Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) tonight said its freedom fighters killed 3 personnel of occupying Pakistan Army and injured several other soldiers in an attack in Turbat city of Balochistan.

Baloch Liberation Army fighters targeted a convoy of the occupying Pakistani army with an IED in Turbat city, its spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement.

The attack was carried out on Monday evening, when the army convoy was passing by the Absar Kaor area, he said.

“BLA’s Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS) targeted an army vehicle in the convoy, which resulted in killing three army personnel and wounding several others,” the spokesperson said.

“After the attack, the enemy (Pakistani establishment) as usual, tried to hide its casualties and financial losses from the media by sealing off the place to keep the morale of its defeated army high,” Baloch said.

“BLA claims responsibility for this attack and vows to continue its attacks unabated until we achieve an independent homeland,” the spokesperson said.

Pakistan Army and government usually never acknowledge casualties and setback suffered in attacks by the Baloch freedom fighters.

Therefore, the Baloch freedom fighting groups like BLA themselves give out the details of their operations.

Last week, another Baloch freedom fighting outfit Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) carried out a major attack on a Pakistani Army post, killing 17 personnel and destroying the camp.

The Pakistan Army and government did not acknowledge it for 2 days.

However, it had to finally admit it as pictures and videos of the attack and coffins of soldiers went viral on social media.
