Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist killed in Kashmir encounter

Srinagar: A terrorist of Pakistan-supported Hizbul Mujahideen outfit was killed by security forces in an overnight encounter in Kashmir, police said today.
The encounter took place in Khandipora area of Kulgam district after security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area following an input about presence of terrorists there.
“01 terrorist of proscribed terror outfit HM killed. Operation in progress. Further details shall follow,” said a tweet by Kashmir Zone police.
Hizbul Mujahideen is a terror outfit whose chief Syed Salahuddin is based in Pakistan.
The outfit gets all the logistical and other kinds of help from the Pakistani establishment.
