New Delhi: India registered a further decline in single-day coronavirus cases, with 14,830 new cases being registered in the last 24 hours, against 16,866 cases reported during the previous day.
Nearly 36 fatalities have been registered across the country within the span of 24 hours, Union Health Ministry said this morning.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the pandemic since 2020 rose to 5,26,110.
The active caseload stood at 1,47,512 constituting 0.34% of the total Covid cases.
The recovery rate is currently at 98.47%, with 18,159 patients being recovered in the last 24 hours, the ministry said.
With this the cumulative recoveries across the country have reached 4,32,46,829, it said.
The country’s daily positivity rate stands at 3.48% and the weekly positivity rate is at 4.46%.

Around 202.5 crores of cumulative vaccine doses have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive, the ministry said.
Yesterday, the government reported registration of 16,866 fresh Covid cases in the preceding 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country registered 21,411 fresh cases and 67 deaths in 24 hours.
