Quetta: Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) tonight said the massacre of 21 Pashtun coal workers in Dhuki area of Balochistan was the handiwork of Pakistan Army and its intelligence agencies to create a rift between Pashtuns and Baloch people.
Issuing a statement to deny its involvement in the gruesome incident that took place two days back, the BLA said the “enemy”, implying the Pakistan army, will be held accountable for the killing of innocent people in Dhuki.
“We condemn the massacre of Pashtuns in Dhuki, and hold the Punjabi army responsible,” said BLA spokesman Jeeyand Baloch in the statement.
“This massacre is part of a nefarious plan orchestrated by the Pakistani army and its intelligence agencies, aimed at creating discord between the brotherly Baloch and Pashtun nations,” said the statement issued by BLA spokesman Jeeyand Baloch.

“The BLA unequivocally holds responsible the Punjabi state of Pakistan for this atrocity and reiterates that the enemy will be held accountable for the murder of these innocent people,” he warned.

“The Baloch and Pashtun nations will unite more firmly against the common enemy and, sooner or later, will defeat the Punjabi state, ” he said.

Meanwhile, the spokesman said BLA fighters targeted the occupying forces and a military agent in two separate attacks in Saami and Turbat areas of Balochistan.

BLA fighters targeted the main camp of the occupying Pakistani army in the Saami area of Kech last night, he said.

The fighters fired several rounds from a grenade launcher and attacked the enemy forces with automatic weapons, he said.

At least three enemy personnel were injured in the attack, with additional financial losses inflicted on the enemy, the spokesman added.

In another attack yesterday near the fish market in Turbat city, Baloch Liberation Army fighters neutralized Mullah Yaqoob alias Qureshi, an agent of the Pakistani army, the spokesman said.

The mentioned military agent was working as an informer for Pakistan Army’s Military Intelligence (MI) under the guise of a spice vendor, he said.

He said Mullah Yaqoob alias Qureshi was seen accompanying the army during the offensive operations of the occupying forces in the city, including frequent visits to the MI office.

In and around Turbat, he was involved in providing intelligence for the occupying army and recruiting other agents for the enemy, the spokesman said.
