Peshawar, May 26 (NVI) Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) today denounced the Pakistani military for repeating its “worn-out” and “misleading” claim that the Islamist organisation and Baloch groups are getting support from India and called for a united fight against this “problematic” force.
Referring to a press conference addressed by the Pakistani military spokesman, TTP said he had “openly disrespected the Afghan government, the Afghan nation and their blood by calling them a tool of India” and similarly, used “extremely vulgar language about Baloch freedom fighter women.”
Slamming the Pakistani military, TTP spokesman Muhammad Khorasani said the force has won no war but it commits “mountains of atrocities” against unarmed people and destroys mosques and madrassas all over the country, while calling itself an Islamic force.
He said it is the Pakistani military which has converted a developing country (Pakistan) into a “beggar”, caused anarchy within the nation and made all neighbouring countries its enemies.
“…The military spokesman, during a long press conference, while quoting verses of the Quran and hadiths of the Prophet and mentioning the names of “India” and “Hindustan” in every line, once again repeated the same worn-out claim in front of the nation, which has been heard in the media every time for the past 20 years to mislead the public,” Khorasani said in a statement.
“The military spokesman raised an unreasonable objection to a jurisprudential issue stated by the Ameer of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan,” he added.
“Similarly, on the one hand, he used the religious card, and on the other hand, he expressed nationalism that ‘the blood of one Pakistani is more precious than a thousand Afghans’ and said that this sentence was from the Army Chief,” the TTP spokesman pointed out.
“The military spokesman openly disrespected the Afghan government, the Afghan nation and their blood and called them a tool of India. Similarly, the military spokesman also used extremely vulgar language about Baloch freedom fighter women,” he said.
“Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has denied such statements before and now once again denies all the allegations that were made in the press conference of the military spokesman two days ago,” he said.
“By repeating those traditional words (that they are getting weapons, money and instructions from India), they (Pakistani military) has tried to deprive them (Pashtuns and Baloch) of their legitimate right to freedom.
“We, as Muslims and Pakistanis, condemn such statements which are based on nationalism, or which disrespect any nation or particular class, or which hurt religion and human sentiments,” Khorasani said.
“And at the same time, we request the people of Pakistan to reject such un-Islamic and irrational statements which destabilize the beloved homeland,” he said.
He said the entire country should keep in mind that the Pakistani military is the same force which “destroyed mosques and madrasas from Islamabad to Bajaur, that committed mountains of atrocities on the Pashtun tribes and the Baloch belt, those who usurp the hard-earned money of people and go to Australia and France, those who have showered bullets on unarmed people in Islamabad etc.”
Khorasani also apparently referred to the losses suffered by the Pakistani military during the military conflict with India earlier this month, in the backdrop of which General Asim Munir was promoted to the rank of Field Marshal.
“Now after a filmy war, they (Pakistani military) are playing with the sentiments of the nation by creating dramas of victory and throwing dust in the eyes of the nation by adorning their chests with medals,” the TTP spokesman mocked.
“As for the statement of the Ameer of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan….it is a failed attempt to mislead the nation, because the words of the Ameer of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan are academic matters addressed to scholars, the importance and status of which are understood only by those who have attained some academic position, what about military spokespersons,” he said.
“But the tragedy of Pakistan is that the Pakistani armed forces have abandoned their work and started doing all the work of which they do not even know the alphabet, so they have their own experts in issuing fatwas, playing in the political arena, promoting agriculture and trade, etc.
“In Pakistan all these works are being done by the military group that does not even know how to do its job properly, which has not won a single war till date, which has lost half of Pakistan’s geography, which has made a developing country a beggar, which has created unrest within the country by making all the neighboring countries enemies and has spread political anarchy internally.
“Therefore, the nation should think about how to get rid of this problem (Pakistani military),” the TTP spokesman said. (NVI)
