Peshawar, Apr 28: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed to have killed more than 50 personnel of Pakistani military forces and injured many others in dozens of operations in a span of 5 days across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan.
The biggest among these was a fierce clash with the Pakistan Army and its Special Services Group (SSG) in Akakhel area of Bara in Khyber district on April 22.
The gunfight resulted in the killing of 12 personnel of the Pakistan Army, including a Captain, and injuries to several others, including a Major, TTP said.
TTP lost 11 fighters in this gun-battle, its spokesman Muhammad Khorasani said in a statement.
In a separate operation in Khyber district on that day, sniper attacks on a military vehicle in Tirah killed two soldiers and seriously injured one.
On the same day, a sniper attack by TTP on a security check post in Mir Ali in North Waziristan district killed a Pakistani army soldier.
Another soldier was killed in another sniper attack in Salarzai in Bajaur district on the same day, he said.
In Peshawar, a soldier of paramilitary Frontier Corps was killed in another sniper attack, he said.
In South Waziristan, a guerrilla attack was carried out on a military post in Shawal Lowara, in which one soldier was killed, the TTP spokesman said.
On April 23, a Pakistani army soldier was killed in a sniper attack in Wana in South Waziristan district, he said.
In Bajaur district, a sniper attack on a military post killed one soldier in Nawagai.
On April 24, at least 5 police personnel were killed and 3 injured in a TTP ambush in Hangu in Orakzai district on a convoy of 15 vehicles belonging to police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) which was on its way to carry out a raid on militants, the spokesman said.
Separately, an attack was carried out by TTP on soldiers engaged in construction of a new post in Dogar in Khurram district, which resulted in the killing of 4 personnel and injuries to five.
Two personnel of FC were killed in sniper attacks on their post in Jandola in Tank district, Khorasani said.
In Mohmand district, a military convoy was ambushed in Safi, killing one soldier, he said, adding there were reports of more casualties among the forces.
In Khyber district, a sniper attack on a military post killed one soldier in Tirah, he said.
On the same night, an attack was carried out on a police station in Daraban in Dera Ismail Khan district, which resulted in the killing of 4 police personnel and injuries to several others.
During the same night, an ambush was carried out by TTP on a military patrol party in Riyasat in Bajaur district, which resulted in injuries to 5 personnel.

On April 25, a sniper attack on a military memorial post in Kulaichi in Dera Ismail Khan killed one soldier.
On the same day, three soldiers were killed in a mine blast triggered by TTP in Mir Ali in North Waziristan district, he said.
In Dosali in North Waziristan, an ambush on a bomb disposal squad killed two FC personnel and wounded two others; two vehicles were also completely destroyed, the spokesman said.
On April 26, an ambush by TTP on a military convoy in Dosali in North Waziristan resulted in the killing of 6 soldiers while three military vehicles were completely destroyed, he said.
In Dera Ismail Khan, an attack on a post killed a soldier in Doger, Khorasani said. (NVI)
