Amritsar, June 16 (NVI): Two persons were arrested from Dream City Colony in Amritsar during a joint operation conducted by Jammu Police and Amritsar Police, officials said on Tuesday.
According to police sources, the accused were identified as Surajdeep, a resident of Sheikhpura, and Harpreet Singh, a resident of Devidaspura.
During the operation, police recovered one AK-47 rifle, a pistol and approximately 500 grams of heroin from a flat allegedly linked to the accused.
The arrested persons have been taken into custody for questioning, and further investigation is underway to ascertain their links and the source of the seized contraband and weapons.
Police said more details are awaited as the investigation progresses.—(NVI)
