Srinagar, July 4 (NVI): Gunshots were heard during a cordon and search operation launched by security forces in the Saidpora area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday evening, officials said.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a joint team of the police and the Army launched the search operation in Saidpora, the officials said.
During the searches, a few gunshots were heard from the area, prompting security forces to tighten the cordon, they said.
The operation was continuing when the last reports came in, and further details were awaited.(NVI)
