Rajouri, July 6 (NVI): Security forces on Monday launched a search operation after a suspected Pakistani drone was sighted over forward villages along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Sunderbani sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, officials said.
Officials said the drone-like object, fitted with a blinking light, was observed over the Meenka and Beripattan villages late Sunday night. It briefly entered the Indian side before returning across the LoC.
Following the sighting, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation early Monday to ascertain whether the drone had dropped any suspicious material.
However, no arms, narcotics or any other objectionable material was recovered during the search operation, officials added.(NVI)
