Srinagar, Aug 8 (NVI) Security forces on Saturday detected a suspected hideout in the upper reaches of Ringawali forest area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.
A joint search party of the 176 Battalion of the CRPF and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K Police, Kunzer, conducted the search in the forest area falling under the jurisdiction of Tangmarg police station, they said.
A cache of old arms and ammunition was found at the hideout during the operation, officials said.
The recovered ammunition and other material were found to be old and rusted, they added.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the origin of the material and establish its possible links, officials said.—(NVI)
