Srinagar, Aug 15 (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday paid floral tributes at the Balidan Stambh here on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, honouring the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.
Abdullah laid a wreath at the memorial and observed a moment of silence in remembrance of the fallen heroes.
J&K Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, ADGP Headquarters, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, senior civil and police officers, security personnel and others were present on the occasion.(NVI)
