Peshawar, Oct 1: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) killed 213 personnel of Pakistani forces and injured 382 in its 334 operations, mostly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, during the month of September, according to the Islamist outfit.
In a detailed statement, TTP said it also captured 45 personnel of the Pakistani forces and affiliated people during this period.
Among the personnel killed and injured, 202 belonged to Pakistan Army and its Special Services Group (SSG), 188 were from paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC), 145 were from Police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and 60 from secret services and affiliated so-called ‘Peace Committee’.
The types of operations included 81 sniper/laser attacks, 37 Drone attacks, 57 guerrilla attacks, 57 confrontational attacks, 27 grenade/bomb blasts, 25 targeted attacks, 25 ambush attacks, 17 counter-attacks, 6 missile attacks and two fidayeen (suicide) attacks, said the statement issued by spokesman Muhammad Khorasani.
These attacks resulted in damage/destruction of a number of assets of the Pakistani forces, including 12 constructions, 7 drones and 3 tanks.
The TTP also seized a large quantity of weapons and ammunition from the Pakistani forces. The seizure included a Tank, 55 guns of various types, 54 hand grenades, 2 rocket launchers, 20 shells of Rocket-Propelled Guns and large amount of ammunition, the spokesman said.
Among the places where the operations were conducted, 98 were in South Waziristan district, 50 in North Waziristan district, 43 in Peshawar district, 26 in Dera Ismail district, 18 each in Kurram and Tank districts, 12 in Bannu district, 11 in Khyber ditrict, 8 in Orakzai district, 7 in Bajaur district, 5 in Mohmand district and 4 each in Kohat, Chitral, Kirk and Payin districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
In Balochistan, the TTP conducted 6 operations in Quetta, the spokesman said.
