Ahmedabad imposes night curfew

    New Delhi (NVI): Due to the rising number of coronavirus cases, the Ahmedabad administration has decided to impose night curfew in the city. The curfew will be imposed from 9 pm to 6 am.

    The curfew will come into effect from Friday and will stay on till further orders.

    The administration also stated that there are adequate number of beds available for COVID-19 patients in city hospitals.

    Furthermore, the number of micro containment areas in the city saw a rise with 14 such areas added to the list, taking the total to 100, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) said.

    So far, Ahmedabad has reported 46,022 coronavirus cases with 220 cases being reported in the last 24 hours.

    With five more deaths, the fatalities in the district rose to 1,949, according to Health Ministry data.
