Udhampur, Dec 08(NVI): General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), today conducted a thorough review of the Udhampur based Northern Command’s operational preparedness during a key visit aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of joint military operations.
An official statement said that the visit focused on strengthening coordination between the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), stressing the need for a seamless inter-service approach to ensure optimal operational effectiveness. General Dwivedi led discussions with senior officials from each service, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts to address evolving security challenges.
During the inspection, General Dwivedi also reviewed the latest acquisitions in military weaponry, equipment, and logistics infrastructure.
