Rajouri, May 23 (NVI): The Army on Saturday resorted to speculative firing during a cordon and search operation (CASO) in the Dorimal forest area of Rajouri district following suspicious movement, officials said.

They said security forces launched the operation in the dense forest area after receiving inputs about the possible presence of suspected Terrioists.

During the searches, troops observed suspicious movement in the forest following which speculative firing was carried out as a precautionary measure, officials said.

They added that the operation was continuing in the area when the last reports were received.(NVI)
