Poonch, June 4 (NVI): An Army soldier sustained injuries after his service rifle accidentally discharged while he was on duty in a forward area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, officials said on Thursday.
Officials that the incident took place during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday in the Bolnoi sector of Mendhar area.
The injured soldier was immediately evacuated by Army authorities and shifted to a hospital in Rajouri for treatment, they said.
