Quetta, Mar 8 (NVI) Baloch Raji Aajoi Sangar (BRAS), a conglomerate of various freedom-seeking Baloch armed groups, today claimed to have killed 13 Pakistani army personnel and injured 8 in two operations in Balochistan recently.
In a statement sent to NVI, it said the fighters of BRAS “trapped and ambushed the occupying Pakistani army personnel” who were advancing for the purpose of aggression in the Barkhan area of Kohlu.
Giving details, the statement issued by BRAS spokesman Baloch Khan said the ambush was carried out in the Gulo Shamchudi area of Barkhan when the occupying Pakistani army advanced into the area on motorcycles and convoys of vehicles and armed personnel-carriers for the purpose of aggression.
The freedom fighters, who had already laid ambushes, launched attacks on the occupying army personnel from different directions, the spokesman said.
In these attacks, 5 personnel of the occupying Pakistani army were eliminated on the spot while the enemy army retreated after suffering further casualties and property losses, he said.
Freedom fighters of BRAS, as planned, brought one of their temporary camps into the enemy’s sight, the spokesman said.
The occupying Pakistani forces launched an attack on it but got trapped, with BRAS fighters targeting them from two directions, he said.
At least 8 more enemy personnel were left dead and at least 8 were injured in this operation, he said.
“The distraught personnel of the occupying Pakistani army fled abandoning their motorcycles,” Baloch Khan said.
Freedom fighters showed bravery in the combat battles with the enemy army but lost one of their own men — Sangat Ghulam Rasool Marri alias Munshi Eidu, the statement said.
After suffering casualties, the occupying Pakistani army targeted the civilian population in Barkhan and illegally picked up 8 innocent persons, burned down civilian houses and stopped the supply of food to the area, the BRAS spokesman said.
Martyr Sangat Ghulam Rasool alias Munshi Eidu had been associated with the Baloch national liberation struggle for the past 15 years and performed his duties in Bolan, Kohlu, Kahan and other fronts.
Because of his exceptional combat capabilities, he fought against national slavery as a member of the Special Tactical Operations Squad (STOS), a special unit of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and defeated the enemy in many important operations, the statement said.
In another operation in Barkhan, BRAS fighters seized a vehicle carrying supplies for the occupying Pakistani army while setting a truck and four motorcycles on fire.
“Baloch Raji Aajoi Sangar warns the personnel of the Levies Force active in Barkhan and its adjacent areas that they should avoid becoming obstacles to the Baloch national liberation movement at the behest of the occupying Pakistani army and its intelligence agencies.
“Being locals, these people have been given concessions by the Baloch freedom fighters,” the spokesman said.
“However, if they do not abandon their Baloch-genocidal acts, they will also be directly targeted like the occupying army and they will be responsible for their own lives and property losses,” he said, adding “Therefore, regional Grandee and white-clad tribal leaders should not allow their relatives and people to commit such acts.” (NVI)
