Srinagar, July 24 (NVI):- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday while expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, for presenting what he described as a historical budget in the Parliament.
Talking to reporters in Srinagar, LG Manoj Sinha voiced optimism that the budget would lay a strong foundation for a “Viksit Bharat” (developed India) and a developed Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that the budget clearly prioritizes farmers, youth, women, and the poor, showcasing the Government of India’s commitment to these crucial segments of society.
Sinha also expressed hope that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir would further normalise in the coming months, further enhancing the region’s development prospects and overall stability.
This budget with focus on employment, skilling, MSMEs and the middle class, seeks to translate the vision of empowering all sections of the population. Nine priorities for generating ample opportunities for all as envisaged in the budget will ensure faster progress and social equity,” the Lt Governor said.
Budget-2024 ensures that the system at grassroots is strong and caring and people enjoy the fruits of social justice, LG added.(News Vibes of India)
