CRPF DG Reviews Security Preparedness During Visit to Kashmir’s Central Kashmir

Srinagar, June 10 (NVI): Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Shri G.P. Singh, visited Gund area of central Kashmir as part of his tour of the Valley and reviewed the operational preparedness of the force, officials said on Wednesday.

During the visit, the CRPF chief stayed overnight at the 118 Battalion headquarters in Gund and inspected various infrastructure facilities.

Officials said Singh was briefed on the operational activities in the area of responsibility (AOR) and held discussions with senior officers and unit commanders on security planning and related operational issues.

The DG also interacted with CRPF personnel, reviewed their welfare measures and lauded their commitment towards maintaining peace and security in the region.

The visit forms part of the CRPF chief’s assessment of the security situation and operational readiness of units deployed across the Kashmir Valley, officials added.(NVI)
