J&K: CRPF man killed in terrorist attack in Budgam

Srinagar (NVI): A paramilitary CRPF man was killed and his service rifle was snatched after terrorists attacked him at Sarai area in Chadoora of central Kashmir’s Budgam district, officials said today.

Officials said heavily armed militants attacked a CRPF naka party at Sarai area of Chadoora leaving a CRPF man critically injured while his service rifle was also snatched.

CRPF spokesman in Srinagar, Pankaj Singh, said that the injured CRPF man was rushed to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. “He has been identified as N Badolay from Nagpur,” Singh said, adding that the service rifle of the slain CRPF man is also missing.

Senior police and CRPF men rushed to the spot and a massive cordon was launched in the area to nab the attackers.

The killing of CRPF man comes just 12 hours after suspected terrorists shot dead Block Development Council (BDC) chairman Bhupinder Singh of Khag area of Budgam district.
