CRPF officer dies after coming under snow in Srinagar

Srinagar (NVI): A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Sub Inspector died after coming under snow at the residence of a former politician in Kashmir’s capital Srinagar.

Police officials said that CRPF officer was walking on the pathway when he came under snow that fell down from the roof top of a shed.

“The officer sustained injuries and was shifted to SK Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS) where he succumbed to his injuries,” they said.

The CRPF officer who was affiliated with 115 battalion was on Guard Duty at the residence of National Conference former legislator Syed Muhammad Akhoon at Habak Zakoora area of Srinagar outskirts.

CRPF spokesperson Pankajh Singh while confirming the death of CRPF Sub Inspector identified him as HC Marmu, a resident of Bakuru West Bengal.
