Srinagar, July 23 (NVI): Authorities today demolished the houses of two alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, a day after a policeman was killed in a terrorist attack, officials said.

Officials that the newly-constructed house of Adil Ahmad Thoker was demolished in Guri in Anantnag district.

In another action carried out during the intervening night, the single-storey residential house of Haroon Rashid Ganai was demolished in Bijbehara.

According to the officials, Ganai has been an active terrorist affiliated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba since 2018.

The demolition was carried out jointly by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army’s 1 Rashtriya Rifles and 90 Battalion CRPF, they said.

The action comes a day after Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi was killed in a terrorist attack in Anantnag district, for which a proxy group of Pakistan-based LeT claimed responsibility.
