On the occasion, Rajat Sud, EESL Managing Director also said that the EVs will reduce the emissions that contribute to climate change and smog, improving public health and reducing ecological damage.
“It is crucial for the states to promote the adoption of #emobility & maximise the use of #clean energy,” he said in a tweet.
“Our partnership with the Govt of #Goa will enable reduction in #carbonfootprint, leading the state towards a more #sustainable, greener & cleaner future,” Sud said in another tweet.
Last month, EESL had signed up an MoU with the Department of New & Renewable Energy (DNRE), Goa to set up the country’s first Rs 450-crore 100 MW decentralised solar convergence project.
The project is to be implemented by the newly-formed subsidiary Convergence Energy Services Ltd. Under the initiative, EESL will implement decentralised solar energy projects.
